AWE stage 3 4200-6500 3rd gear pulls
I did some 3rd gear pulls with my very recently completed stage 3 from AWE. My car is an H box with the 91 octane program that hasnt been optimized with mobile tuner.
details
Outside Temp: 65F
Read my sig for mods
Aprox weight w driver: 3790
full spare in the trunk
1/2 tank of 76 91 craptane
wheels/tires used 235/35/19 T1S/OZSL
boost: 1.3 bar or 18.8 psi
protocol
flat strech of CHP-less freeway
set cruise control at 3800~3900 on 3rd
Roll on full throttle to just shy of 7000
Record data for 6 consecutive runs
data analysis (excel)
select the points involved in the accelerated run.
add a linear trendline for each run.
interpolate to 4200 and 6500 from the equation obtained.
Average the time difference for all 6 runs.
***** RESULTS ******
***** 4.02±0.09 ******
r.0.998 for all data linearization
All runs, as you can see from the std dev, were really consistent. Three runs were one way on the freeway and the other three runs were on the way back on the same strip of freeway to eliminate any possible incline on the road. I think this is a somewhat scientific approach at 3rd gear pull logging.
For FATS, post your times!!
100 octane coming soon.
