DIY intercooler spray kit or cheap mod PART II

After installing a chip, I have noticed that during hot summer days, particularly after slow moving (or not moving) traffic, engine would loose some power. That loss of power was mostly due to hot intake air and the fact that stock intercoolers would not provide cooling effect at slow speed. It would take as much as 20 min of atleast 40 mph driving to restore the power. Idea of intercooler mister or spray is not new and widely in use on some stock turbocharged cars (Subaru). There are some fancy tuner kits on a market too. Some of my friends have tried to install similar system, but failed mostly because water just leaked out from spray nozzles.
My idea was to reduce "recovery time" after traffic, improve cooling effect of stock intercoolers without spending major $$$.
System is originally a Universal Windshield Washer Kit from JC Whitney, slightly modified. All you need, except nonreturn valve and extra tubing is there. Installation is very simple and requires very little drilling of plastic.
Collapsable tank goes next to a battery, it hold about 1/2 gallon and is good for one track session or abt a minute of nonstop spraying. After a tank at the highest possible point there is a nonreturn valve, which prevents water from leaking out, as nozzles positioned much lower. I could not find sutable valve, so I made one from vacuume valve and 3 way T-ee
Despite that on a picture it looks like "pissing", pump is very powerfull and shoots all a way up on intercooler.
A simple push type switch (provided) can be mounted anywhere inside the car.
Bottom line: It did not provide additional horsepower, however it helps to recover from heat and maintain power already available. "Recovery time" reduced from 15-20 min to abt 5-7 min. Total cost about $30
