"Your username is IstookJunior, I assumed you are affiliated with the shop."

    - I am not affiliated with the shop, I don't work for the shop. Your post mentioned Chris having work done at MY shop. So I felt the need to clarify that I have no vested interest either way in where Chris gets his work done.

"That was the first post by Don that I have seen after the referenced thread. He has never replied to that thread, so I wanted to find out what his side of the story was."

    - If you wanted to find out what his side of the story was, why not email/call him and ask yourself? The business dealing Chris detailed took place MANY months ago. And he decided to air his side of the story in Audiworld. Don decided not to respond -- he decided to keep a personal business matter between the two parties it involved rather than sling it all over this website. The obvious problem with that choice is that one person's version of the story gets spread and is received as the absolute truth by AW readers.

In your response to my post, you said that you weren't questioning Don's knowledge and experience, merely his customer care. But you also wrote originally that his credibility was shattered because of the situation with Chris. So are you or aren't you questioning his knowledge and experience? And still I ask, what on earth does Chris's story about his experience have to do with a thread on S4 vs. RS4 heads?

You intimated that since Don has services and products for sale, that he should defend himself on this site. But if you read back over his posts over the years, what percentage have been detailed explanations and tips about Audi performance relative to advertisements for any service or parts? I think you'll find the posts are *highly* skewed toward the free advice, with just a few here and there letting people know what parts and mods he offers for sale.

"Interesting, that instead of presenting your side of the "old" story, you'd rather pick a fight with me. "

    - I'm not picking a fight with you, and if you got that impression from my posts, then you've again mis-read my intentions. You ask me to tell *my* side of the story. This isn't my story to tell. And it isn't yours to tell either. It's Don's and Chris's. My suggestion was merely that if you have a criticism or a bone to pick, do it in person, over the phone or via email. Perhaps find out the whole story (in a relevant thread) before bringing up yesterday's news. And if you find Don's posts as informative as you say you do, then perhaps you'll grant him the respect of corresponding with him directly before re-hashing old stories.

More than once you referred to this website as a community. If that's the case, why not give someone the respect that you'd give them in any other community and answer your questions in private before spreading someone else's side as the gospel truth.
