"First of all, I'm not Don. So it's not *my* shop we're referring to."
- Your username is IstookJunior, I assumed you are affiliated with the shop. Although English is not my native language, my understanding of it is that "your" does not necessarily mean that you own it. Example: NJ is my state, but I do not really own it. "Secondly, I really don't care how long you've been around and how many posts you have relative to me. Your post was in no way relevant to Don's original post regarding S4 heads and ports. Chris's claims have nothing to do with this thread either. Chris didn't respond to Don's post the way you did. So why did you feel the need to bring up an OLD thread that's totally irrelevant to this discussion? You yourself wrote that it's customer care that you're referring to. How on earth does that have anything to do with this technical topic???????" - That was the first post by Don that I have seen after the referenced thread. He has never replied to that thread, so I wanted to find out what his side of the story was. The present thread is very clear that he offers products and services described for sale to forum members. I think reputation of service provider is an important consideration. This is a community you know... "And you mis-read my post if you found it condescending. What is condescending are posts like yours that pretend to know the whole story on an issue between two *private* parties when you only know half of it." - Wrong again. I did not *pretend* to know the whole story. I suggested that Don presents his side. Re-read my original post. It is ultimately up to him, whether he chooses to defend his side (if there is "his" side to this story) or let Chris's posts be the only account of the events. But in my opinion, things like this should not be ignored. The work photographed was VERY sloppy. And I think it is very important that people who entrust their $42K cars to a shop know what the shop's reputation is. Don's posts on different subject concerning the S4 have always been very informative. However, the only account of his actual work on customer's car that *I* have seen is less than satisfactory. Interesting, that instead of presenting your side of the "old" story, you'd rather pick a fight with me. Look, I really don't care either way. I thought it was important to bring it up and I did. What you or Don choose to do about it is up to you. I am done with this thread |
