    Well, if you set it to < 1 bar to prevent the above scenario, you lose alot of low/end power

    1.2-1.3 bar is perfectly doable by the K03s in this area and results in a nice increase in torque over just 1 bar (my XR @ 1.3+ bar even showed significant gains in MAF airflow over the X @ 1.2 bar at say 3500rpm) I agree with using an MBC but only on K04s, not on K03s, as you lose the flexibility of taking advantage of what the K03s can flow down low in order to limit them up top.
