Redwood City RACEGAS $1.99/gal . . . how fuel blenders work ; )
Just kidding . . . fun while it lasted . . .
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1573_IMG.JPG">
Got there and saw the pumps apart and the blenders going in. Four dispensers and three tanks 87, 89 and 91. Here is Bill and a blender.
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1563_IMG.JPG">
One down two to go.
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1564_IMG.JPG">
So they had three tanks one for each grade. So they empty the 89 and put blenders on three dispensers to make 89 out of 87 and 91.
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1565_IMG.JPG">
The fourth dispenser will have one pump going straight to the 100 octane tank.
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1569_IMG.JPG">
Putting the grade panel in, 89 octane racegas, woo hoo . . .
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1570_IMG.JPG">
The guy even gave me a spare sticker, thanks Bill!!!
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1572_IMG.JPG">
This will be the dispenser with the 100 octane.
<img src="http://home.covad.net/~boscojmisc/racegas/115-1574_IMG.JPG">
Should be ready by the end of the day but they still have about 500 gallons of 89 to get rid of.
Dunno when the fuel actually gets there though.
Thanks to Mitch and the other guys at CL Bryant for giving me the info months back and helping to push this through.
Racegas a mile from home!!! We'll have to wait and see how much it is . . .
