I believe he has an 01 S4 maybe 02, and after about 7,ooo miles one of the turbos went bye bye.. :( Unlikey? Bro, people have blown their turbos with the stock program, so you can blow them no matter what.. right? Imo, its all about how hard you push the car.. Yes, less boost means the turbos won't be working as hard but look at the post.. 14 psi with mtm, 16+ with APR, ~16 with ABT, 16+ x-chip.. Going on what Xcess said, the APR chip is pushing just as much boost as the others, so if you want the chip that won't push your turbos the hardest, it looks like the MTM chip is the way to go.. Yeah the added EMCS features are pretty cool, but I don't agree that with the APR chip you are less likely to blow the turbos.. IMO, its all about how hard you drive your car.. If you can blow em stock you can blow them chipped.. right? Since Im most likely going to be an S4 owner in the near future this is a pretty serious topic.. I know I drive my cars pretty hard (which increases the chances of blowing a turbo), and since I can't pay for K04s, I wouldn't chip the car, I just can't take the risk of blowing the turbos and not having a warranty to cover the repair.. All my friends except for one has blown a turbo, and they all drive like me, so I know it would just be a matter of time for one to go with a chip.. Ill stay stock and be safe until the funds are there..
