    The only variable with a wheel is the weight (within a given size) - this is not the case with tires

    BY FAR the biggest variable with tires is the traction. Who cares about how much it weighs if it grips better? Ever wonder why top fuel dragster use 100+lb tires that are 40" tall? I don't think they give a sh!t about polar moment of inertia.
