"The power required to accelerate a car at a given rate" is the same +/- 1.5% for FWD, RWD, and AWD cars.

An AWD car 'loses' power on the dyno when it spins the extra two wheels. A RWD car 'loses' that same power when it's on a road spinning the extra two wheels.
