I would not advise replacing both of your S4s with a single broken link.

My bro contemplated replacing his B5 S4 with a RS6 before he opted to go 996TT. RS6s are nice!

Default Definitely a great car, have heard of some expensive maintenance stories... my advice...

buy an engine hoist that can hold the Bi-turbo V8 and buy it

Default Yeah. This is what scared my bro off. Everybody on the RS6 forum said get an extended warranty, but

beyond the cost is the inconvenience of having an inoperable car on anything remotely close to a regular basis.

The only reason I have had the S4 so long is that it has been reliable as hell.

Default Yeah no. 5 speed auto kills it for me. Needs to be a manual. If that isn't important to you

and you can foot the bills for repairs, I'd say yes.
