Default Are slotted rotors directional?? Also why would my brake light come on after.

swapping rotors. The pads are w/o sensors and have been in w/o any problem for about 5k now, I only just swapped out the rotors for new ones.

Default Only the directions of the vanes (if they are directional) matters.

Did you short the pad sensor wires when you put on the pads? Perhaps the wires came loose?

Default The rears had an R and L on them (written), fronts didn't...

however the vanes on the rears both point back ( \ ) whereas the vanes on the front point ( / ) forward.
I am going to check the wires, they were shorted before.

Default Is it your brake light or your worn brake light? If it is worn brake light, then check..

brake sensor bypass short in connector.

Default the vanes are inside the rotor, they are usually swept in one direction.

if you hold the rotor up and look down the middle of it, the vanes will be slanted one direction..

on the driver's side, you want to the vanes like this:

Default take your old sensors off the old pads.

cut the wire, twist it together and heat shrink or tape it, then plug it back in. It will never show the wear light again.
