Default woot! Today was a great way to start the weekend...

last may i got a speeding ticket (85 in a 60) by some sneaky little oinker hiding between two semi's on a moving highway, luckily he caught me on the brakes and estimated my speed at 85 ( i was going a tad faster then that) At the time he told me, "you're lucky this is all I'm giving you" He never had me on radar, we both knew that, but he just wanted to be a dick and get me for going 25 over so I couldn't get it deferred (in TX can't defer for anything over 24mph over the limit)

Normally I would just pay it or get it deferred, but I figured since he wanted to be a dick about it (which he was a total ***** at the time) I thought I would fight it for ****s and giggles....long story short, over 1 year later I finally get my court date (today), and the fuggin clown doesn't even show up for court! Case dismissed! HAH!!!

Everyone have a safe and fun weekend.

Default what's there to fight?

Anytime I have gotten a ticket I deserved it. I've never been given a ticket for speeding when I was actually going to speed limit.

Default you should move to Florida... so many ticket lawyers the whole system is a scam.

I was 98 in a 65 in a similar situation (no radar, estimated). Called up one of the thousand ticket attorneys, gave them the info, paid the $70 fee and then forgot about it. Sure enough a couple months later I received a letter saying the ticket was dismissed. I know of about ten other people that have had all of their tickets dismissed by using these lawyers. It's just a big scam.

Default Congratulations! I highly recommend these guys:

http://www.ticketassassin.com

It's for California, but I can't imagine it wouldn't apply in any state. They advocate contesting tickets by mail (for a variety of reasons) and I'm batting .500 using them.
