Default Will 221 pound weight reduction make a difference on a track??

I'm debating on stripping weight from the S4 for a track day coming up.

I can take 221 pounds off in total (must admit 55% from the rear), will it make a better time?

Track is a short tight track (1min 12 sec) running semi-slicks

Cheers

Rob

Absolutely- 100lbs is equivalent to a 10HP increase.

Default So I take that as a yes.. haha

Well I guess I 'll be stripping the car then..

I already will take:

Passenger seat
rear seat
rear back
spare tyre
tool box

Is there anything else I can remove (preferably from the front)???

I'm kind of worried about increasing understeer tho..

Default is this going to be a daily driver? or are you turning the s4 into a track car?

I'm not so sure i'd want to remove all that stuff if i'm driving it around everyday. i'm perfectly happy with k04's and full street weight.

but if you really want to get crazy, your going to want to get a lightweight battery preferably moved to the back, carbon fiber trunk and hood .. and your also going to want to take off those 19in wheels and get light 17s.
