Exhaust adds about 5-10 hp. Also, AMS is supposed to be the strongest up high...
next to GIAC X chip. MTM is best down low. Not sure why the differences, but I would stay with the mfg. recommendations. If it were higher, they would say so.

fyi, 249whp inside
MTM, evo intake, neuspeed cat back, 93.
just a data point.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/newengland/msgs/11659.phtml">my run</a></li></ul>

My main concern is this: I just got an APR chip and the link that I posted says that the MTM makes
significantly more HP. But I will say that, based on my first hour driving on the APR chip after about a year of driving stock, the APR chip feels great. Is ten HP worth looking into swapping out for the MTM? Especially when we can't even get a unanimous quote on the HP/TQ ratings?

I wouldn't pay much attention to those dyno results, since then there have been software revisions
including but not limited to APR. In some cases even the programming (and power) between model years is different for the same chip manufacturer. In fact one of the older APR versions in 2001 cars had a serious (-30hp) power deficit issue that was later resolved, however the 2000 APR cars didn't have that problem. Bottom line is MTM outshined APR that day with that particular model year car and that (older) chip program, but that may not be the case for you now.

2nd. Those are some real old dyno runs in the start of this thread. Data is very stale.
The real thing that is important for HP increase is not the peak HP difference, but the average HP difference over the RPM band of interest. Find someone you can switch ECU's with and check it out.
