Who has had their block bored or honed WITHOUT torque/honing plates?

Default Who has had their block bored or honed WITHOUT torque/honing plates?
I've read that you should really use them when boring or honing but every machine shop i have called says they dont have them for this block and I couldnt even find one online.

So is it ok to bore and hone with out the plates or will my cylinders oval out?

Default Where are you located? If you're in Norcal you can use mine. VAST has the same one
and perhaps they'd rent it out?
