Default For a simple spring/shock..

I think the Vogtland/KONI combination we carry is pretty tough to beat. H&R's are too low, imo.

Lots of great reviews of this combo in the archives.

Default Do you ever have any probs in snow being lowered??

Winter weather alone makes me want to go w/ CO's plus I go mt. biking and camping a lot in the warmer months where I think I would need the adjustability.

Also, do you run the ASXs in the snow? If so, how do they hold up? I was down to the ASX and the ContiExtremeContact for an ok all season and ended up w/ the Contis which seem to work well.

Default I don't have any issues here in NE being lowered. My avant used to have

OEM sport suspension and the koni/vogt set up is barely lower than that.

The ASX do ok in the snow, they are an allseason so you need to drive a bit different than you would with snows, I ran the conti's one winter and they are better in the snow than the ASX are.

Mike - I have new bilstein shocks and am just looking for springs. Is there a big difference between the konis and bilsteins aside from adjustability when paired with your vogtland springs? I don't want much drop, so the .7/.8 with the koni/vogtland setup sounds perfect. I'm hoping the ride quality is still OK with bilstein shocks instead. Would the bilsteins be better suited to the sport springs instead of the club specs?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think you'll be fine. It is the spring that controls the height and the Bilsteins will be fine for the street but Konis are known for being a little softer.
