Default vw/audi "high performance" gear oil? or redline?

help me make up my mind. The cheap stuff seperated and helped kill a brand new 3rd gear syncro. And the cheap stuff is definitly making it hard to get into 3rd after a rebuild.

I wanted flush after a few thousand KM anyways after the rebuild to get as much post rebuild metal out.

Default 2nd. I went with Mobil 1 for front and rear but I would have gone Motul today

I have recently gone to Motul for the engine. Seems like the French are keeping the additives at the level they should be.

You cannot go wrong with Redline either.

MTL = better for cold climate. MT90 = better protection. Some people like to mix it up

Default Was wondering if anyone ran straight MTL?

I live in AK and was wondering if running just MTL and not a 50/50mix with MT90 is ok? Seems like it would be better for the colder weather. Or would Motul 300 be ok for cold conditions. I just don't want the 1-2 shift to be harder than it is on colder mornings.
