Default Unexpected gMsg[2]=0A after Erase Codes request for airbag controller module. wtf?

I had the airbag light, with the 65535, airbag module memory error or something like that.

So I got a new airbag controller module. Put it in. Airbag light, and the 65535 code, are still there, so I try clearing with VAGCOM, and I got the error in the subject line.

I tried this several times. Does anybody know what I can do about it? I need this airbag light to go away

Default That's the first error I got about 3 weeks ago until..

Monday earlier this week when my instrument cluster lit up like a Christmas tree, beeping with every 30 seconds with CEL, Brake, batter, volt, airbag, EPS, etc.

Everything was lit, volts climbed and dropped from 12 to 16+. Window and A/C/Heat display stopped working when volts were 16+.

Long story short, my car has 106k miles on it and the alternator (brushes with regulator) went bad, thus frying my battery (which I just bought last year).

I'm also getting the camshaft seal, driver outer cv boot, and rear brake pads replaced, because the shop always finds something to spend my money on.

Default hmm.. well i don't see that happening. just replaced battery, alternator seems good.

it WAS a used module (in reference to richmonds4's comment), so that's probably the next avenue.. buying a brand new one :/

word of the day: ouch.

clean connector behind glove box. I think it's yellow. Or check under driver seat.
