tool needed to open and reuse Audi Hose Clamps???

Have to cut them to remove pinch clamps. You can buy more and a tool
from Mcmaster-Carr. When I've ordered replacement clamps from the dealer, I get worm drive hose clamps with a smooth inside surface.

Oh dave FYI, the proper one has a stopper in the middle, it press against the center part of the
clamp so when you close up the clamp it would still hold the flat part and force it not to come up as a balloon

I have one of those tools for cv joint bands but it doesn't work properly on these clamps
The flat part of these clamps have a bent area (dimple) that helps to keep it flat while you squeeze it. I used my cv joint band tool on them in the past and it flattens them too much, creating a very sharp bend on the ear instead of a more gradual bend that you see on the oem installed clamps. This oetiker tool is the correct tool for oetiker clamps.<ul><li><a href="http://www.oetiker.com/uploads/documents/OE_OperatingManual_InstallationInstructions_2006_0 7_english_0890xxxx_770.pdf">http://www.oetiker.com/uploads/documents/OE_OperatingManual_InstallationInstructions_2006_0 7_english_0890xxxx_770.
