TIAL GT28 housings at altitude?
so, my k04s are making some great noises and it has me thinking...
what would be the most dependable turbo option at around 4500ft with many, many trips to 9000 ft? i would really like to go to a ball-bearing turbo because they seem more reliable, but i also wonder, would a good quality k04/997 hybrid (or other) rebuild be just as dependable but better suited to the altitude?

Not really driving it at the moment
Tony needs to get his hands on it, and while he's here tomorrow, I'm unfortunately in CA and unable to get the car up to ASW. So, we'll have to wait a few more weeks for results from mine.
Swift's should be up tomorrow though.

I don't understand what you just wrote :) My point is, if you tune any
given setup at any given altitude it should work properly. The car should clearly be tuned in an environment that is as close to the daily operation. In this case a road tune sounds like it's the best option.
