Default Should I get rid of my S4?

To make a long story short I'm trying to decide if I should trade in my S4 for something more practical. I love this car but I relocated for work but still commute 45 miles one way. I am probably putting in about 2,000 miles a month just commuting to work. I have 85,000 miles now have not done the t-belt job and still have 3 years left on the car. I've been working here about 4 months and am planning on staying for at least 2 years. I think I need to trade it in for something more practical like an Accord where it won't be a big deal if I put in about 25,000 miles a year. I thought about a daily driver but don't have the room to park the additional car. What would you guys do? What would you purchase?

Default Re: welcome to my life.

My commute is similar, and I just rolled 85k. When I bought the car last year, it had 30k. You're not going to have a gillion problems if your commute is like mine at 65 mph. There's just not that much wear and tear on the suspension, engine, or other areas. Your oil changes come up a little sooner than others, but as long as you take care of it, it'll take care of you.

Default Same here thoughts here.. The Quattro is so fun in the snow, but....

I'm tired of putting so many miles on her as a daily driver.

I had a '02 Jetta 1.8t, '94 Saturn SL2, and my '01 S4 all at the same time.
That was fun deciding what to drive to work.

I'm back in the market for a daily driver though.

Default i got a mitsubishi lancer evolution...

it was a comprismise. its not nearly as refined as the s4 but is very fast stock, is cheap to maintain (relative to the s4) and is a pretty simple car so not a lot to break...

Default My situation is similar and I really enjoy the fact that the car is safe and solid

the fast, relatively agile nature is just a bonus!

I can't think of a better car as a daily driver :=)
