Default Shaking down the nagging issues post Stage III is....

driving me to extreme violence. How is it that nearly every sensor somehow manages to die, or every hose manage to leak, or every gasket manage to crap out one after the other AND in bi-weekly intervals!? I never get a frickin break!

I get past one hurdle and here comes another! The latest is the dreaded 17863 code...EGT, EGT! If EGT's were a living breathing organism, I'd torture it, kill it, and eat it...and I'm an animal loving, liberal! The car has been bucking like a bronco at WOT for 2 weeks and the CEL light FINALLY decides to give me a frikin clue.

So my question is, considering I might as well replace both, where is the absolute cheapest place I can pick some up?

I'm going to have a beer and will check back after dinner. Thanks for your patience...I don't have any right now.

Default Dynospot in San Jose, CA. I really can't impugn their work however....

They have been really good to me over the years. Very honest and trustworthy. The crap thats breaking is stuff they didn't even touch; MAF, clamps, N75, hoses, cam tensioner gasket, valve cover gasket, EGT, O2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, AC compressor switch, lower oil pan gasket, etc....all within the last 3 damn months.

Note: driving through the Ca. central valley without AC is heatstroke waiting to happen.

Default 078919529F - GVWAP $218, PureMS $250, ECS $291, Vast $292

ECS & Vast list different parts for left & rite side, but apparently the "F" supersedes previous models and fits both sides.

GenuineVWAudiParts lists it as "Electrical - Powertrain control - Coolant temp sensor".
i was a bit suspicious of this and decided to support PureMS instead.
