Well, its only for a matter of days and Im not driving far or without VagCom hooked up. Im not even driving hard for extended periods. Im also only on K03s with a broken Upsolute Map which I have to cap at 14.5PSI as their map goes to limp mode the second it crosses 15.5PSI. Its calling for 16PSI.. all very tame (and rubbish) on E85.

The Denso 270LPH is at least as good as the 044 Bosch, its just not talked about much in VAG circles, its more a JDM thing. Its actually 280lph (not 270 like I said) at 13.5v and scales with voltage without overspin to something like 16v. Its 290lph+ at 14v and also trusted as an extremely reliable pump. The PN is: 195130 - 1270 (aka 195130 - 1020) and its cheaper than the Bosch (but more expensive than Walbro, but much better). Even better, its a proper Intank pump, unlike the 044. The Bosch 040 intank version is only 190lph.

Don't forget that E85 has a different stoich ratio. You will be fine in closed loop mode at part throttle since it is controlled by the oxygen sensor lambda values, but open loop mode with full throttle uses predetermined AFRs, so you will not be running the desired AFR.

Yeah, the theory there is Im throwing a lot of fuel its way. E85 will run fine from lean to rich, but its not very elegant or good for economy. The AFRs I reported (8.5 E85 converted) are from WOT runs.

My local tuner tells me I have a Wideband O2 sensor as stock on a 00 Allroad, anyone know something about this?

I don't know why they would have put a widband. I'm pretty sure the motronic we have can't really use a wideband.

None of the Allroads, 2.7T engines, or any ME7 ecu has a wideband stock.

Also remember that when using a wideband you need to adjust the lambda to AFR conversion factor based on the stoich ratio of the fuel you are using.

FWIW, the ME7.5 used in 1.8T VW uses WB O2. ME7.1 and 7.1.1 turbo does NOT. ME7.1.1 used in VWR32 and B S4 NA cars DOES use WB O2

I'm new to Audi S4 world but have experiencce on E85 on 300zx VG30DETT (with aftermarket WBO2s).

I already run with E85 on my S4 B5 from 1999 (3 weeks now) and used Lemmiwinks to adjust primary fueling.
My 300zx has its own custom E85 map with ton of advance according to my tests and experience (cold/warm starts, AFR of 11.5 at full boost 16psi peak). I always consider AFRs as it was for unleaded, even if I run E85 b/c this is very closed to and easily to remind.

My S4 has already from the previous owner, >700cc (730 ?) injectors and Bosch 10 bars fuel pump (dunno the part #), boost is maybe around 1.5bars.
I was convinced the 2.7TT S4 B5 Bosch Motronic ME7.1 had WBO2 to achieve corrections on all the band. I'm very disapointed.
It means I will have to take more care with E85 mods.

Regarding E85 (octane 105 equivalent), firstly, I increased primary fuel tweak to +25% thinking the ME7.1 would do the rest (10% missing) of the job, this is probably the case, partially.
I always inject +35% in injectors but it's 20-25% of additional fuel consumption in real life compared to unleaded, for the same driving style.
With static +25%, I noticed the O2 left/right correction factors oscillate from -9 to -5%, but that's idle only. With unleaded, setting to 25% make the correction factors going down to -22% @ idle.
At the moment, the car behavior is good when pedal is floored.
Cold start-up is not perfect.

Be careful, as a first shot, I increased the fuel pressure on my 300zx, it was 80psi @1bar, but it was not enough to get +35%, far from it. Moreover, over 4.5 bars of absolute fuel pressure, the injector hole is too small (370cc) and the effect of increasing fuel pressure more is null.
Adaptation channels concept on Audi is really a chance for me.

Next steps are, using Unisettings:
_advance timing +4.5° for all the band
_135% (instead of 100) for fuel enrich cold and warm. Gave me very good results on my 300zx, even for warm startup.
_135% for fuel increase load. This is logic, you also want to inject more when you are asking for torque when pedal is floored (in such case, you inject more than required to escort the instantaneous demand of torque).

It should make the job without a full map tuning.
