anyone else with a B5 S4 get much worse mpg (14-16 mpgs) in cold/winter weather than they do in the spring/summer?

I did avg 12 L with BAD EGT's. And i was running rich all the time.

...I get normal (17-18 mpg) gas mileage when its warm out...but 14-16 when its cold. I'm throwing a couple O2 sensor CEL's so it def could be running rich. I realize I will get less gas mileage w/ the GIAC chip, but this happened last winter before I had the chip. Plus I took the chip out for the winter. I'm going to replace the front O2's soon, so we'll see if that helps. Also replacing the MAF sensor.

But yeah if your concerned with efficiency you should get a different car. S4's gas mileage is quickly becoming awful with the next gen. of cars. But if your trying to diagnose probs that's different. Clogged fuel filter?

Chipped is about the same, and stg3 I'm getting about 18-24 right now depending on how I drive. I think you should change your O2s for sure man.

i get like 15 mpg for all stop and go city traffic. sucks
