Recently had a rear wheel bearing replaced and have been having
suspension noises ever since. It is the right rear that is making noise. Now I have had the wheel off and have figured out where the noise is coming from. It is not the e-brake cable, but it appears to be the point where the control arm connects to the upper wishbone? I originally had th ought it might have been the bushings on the Y part of wishbone, but its not, its the point where it connects to the control arm...
I attempted to put some lithium grease on the bolt/in the joints and it quieted it for about 5 minutes, and it has come back. The question I have is what could someone have done when they did the wheel bearing that would make this squeak like this all of a sudden? I have loosened the bolt (had to take it out to put grease on it) and I didnt over tighten it, and it still squeaks a bit... Do I need to replace the control arm?
