Poll: Are you Audi brand loyal? As in you get more excited about rings than any other brand?

Supercharging is predictable power, and
Power that starts at idle, if desired. Supercharging can leverage freer flowing intake and exhaust, as well as more cubic inches, to raise power, and lower intake temps. For example, moving from 2.25 inch to 3" exahust on my old SCed vehicle dropped peak boost by 2 or 3 PSI, but increased power. On my S4, opening the exhaust is more about reducing heat and allowing more backpressure to be used for boost. For city driving, supercharging is more of a match to the stop and go, low and mid-range RPM stuff. If you need more than 10 PSI on city streets, you could probably go big all motor build, and spare no expense. You've obviously got money to burn on tickets!

No, but the choices are few for high HP, AWD, Manual, Turbo cars
I'd take other cars too, like a 2009 WRX, or a 335XI, or an EVO or STI. Each have their benefits and drawbacks. You guys already know them all.

The comment was more directed at running of a biturbo system for B8 S4.
Instead of SC system.. SC is a warranty induced cop out. They (audi) are afraid of doing another TT S4.

Like Bruce says.... warranty/controlled power adder. It's pretty limited for racing, always has
been, will likely continue to be due to the massive heat issues and the power it takes to drive them.
Rumor is Audi had two engine mules for the next S4, one twin turbo and one SC. They chose the "safe" route. Can't have 400chp "stock" S4 warranty issues again. The engine is called TFSI which is comical in itself (Turbo StratFuelInj) just like in the 4cyl lines but... its Supercharged for this one. So much for never follow.... hope its better than the C32 AMG in tuning and longevity. That offering didn't last long.

No. i care about drivetrain, appointments and overall performance.
i want a wagon with either AWD or RWD, MT, "sporty" suspension and 3liter NA or smaller turbo engine.
there was a time where i only cared about HP, but given how much time i spend slogging in traffic i care less and less. now i want ~200hp and enough torque to get out of its own way. the wagon config is critical for my uses. i use the roof rack 3-5x a week and ditto for the added cargo area.
if infiniti made a G35 wagon i'd VERY seriously consider it.

audi perfected twin turbo but let bmw steal their thunder
I'll bet the twin turbo bmw engine was inspired by Audi's 2.7tt.
I still can't believe Audi went from a twin turbo V-6 to the gas guzzling V-8. If they threw the B5 S4 engine into the new B8 S4.. I'd trade my 135i in for one. With a ton of proven mods to install.. it would be worth losing the warranty.
