Default PC1200LMJT Odyssey battery

Guys, I've seen people reference this battery but no one post the items needed to make this fit. I'm guessing this isn't a total rig but no one has posted pictures that I've been able to search for.

If someone has done this, can you let me know which additional parts were needed (certain terminals, tie down, etc.) as well as any gotchas during the install.

Thanks in advance!
Sil

that is a BIG battery, unless you got a big stereo or something, go with 925 IMO

Default IIRC, Steve had that battery in his track A4:

you should be fine with the 925. I run the 680.

http://account.audiworld.com/users/5987.phtml</a

Default I'm sure it will fit because I have a rebadged PC1500 in my car.

Tie downs will be DIY either with J-hooks or something you rig up yourself. Here's a pic of the battery installed in my car

Default Thanks for the replies guys. I have a full custom stereo and I don't want to worry.

So I won't lose my battery cover and such if I do the 1200? Also, do I just use the generic install kit they sell too?

Default I just installed one in my Avant, I helped a friend install his in a sedan, PC1200MJT is smaller

and a bit lighter at 40lbs.

The bracket that pushes/holds the battery on one side is sufficient to maintain safely the battery in place. For my Avant the bracket was different I had to get that part from my local Audi dealer ($3) If you want you can add something around the battery that will secure it in case of a violent shock e.g. accident (I used a large tie wrap) I have picture if you want.

Nice battery, 8 yrs life, I have after market stereo too.

Default I decided to go with a Werker SLI94R-LI that's available at Batteries Plus not far from me.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. The Odyssey is attractive but offers less CCA and reserve power by a lot than the full sized (and weight) Werker. I have a full system in my car so I'm more for the power than weight savings .

Cool. That's why I went with a PC1500 sized battery. Not enough juice on the smaller ones.
