Default Okay thinking about taking over the S4 on a full time basis. What do you think of a TT

I was thinking of buying the Wife a TT, since it is a girls car and she is starting to like it a bit more now. Especially being able to get custom colors straight from Audi (sign at the factory in Germany stated so (took the tour)).

I don't like the car myself and love the S4 and she is tired of me messing with it, so she said buy me something else, so that I can continue to play with it and have a loud exhaust (APR) if I want too..

Again I am not fond of the TT, but since it would be for her then it might make sense since she is a woman.(sorry guys my opinion only!!!!)

Is the TT quattro? I will only buy her a car if it's all wheel drive/quattro (For those rainy days).

Thoughts? She loves to drive and does it well, has to be a stick as she doesn't like automatics.

Default TT doesn't have the same AWD system as S4. It has a Haldex system

which is slightly different. As for custom colors, if you are in North America, I don't think you can have that option

Default Not as masculine as the S that's for sure but, of the more girly two seaters, I must say the TT...

...is a beuatifully designed car and IMHO, is less feminine than other cars in the same category.

Default I always thought the TT made a nice lifeboat for the S4

Seriously though, if I had parking and money for another 40K plus car I would consider the converible 225 Hp.

Default It's a very nice machine. She should talk to my wife - she loves hers ...

I've had many Audi's throughout the years and my wife got hooked on AWD early on. She isn't a car enthusiast per se but she won't even consider a vehicle that doesn't have it (the other "must haves" now are heated seats and dual exhaust). The TT is the first car that she really got excited about and we ordered a TT 225 coupe when they were introduced. She felt a little conspicuous in it at first but it has been interesting to see how she has enjoyed the attention this car attracts on the road and how aggravated she gets when another TT driver doesn't trade a thumbs up. She has even started to wash the car herself - something I never expected to see in this lifetime.

You can call it what you like but the TT is a blast to drive and the attention to design detail is something that any car enthusiast can appreciate. It's as different as night and day from the S4 but a great vehicle as well. By the way, the Haldex works just fine in the rain - and the snow as well with good snow tires.
