I have never owned an avant before but I've had 4 b5 s4s, 1 stage 3 1 stage 2+, 1 tip chipped and 1 6spd chipped. But, I've never owned an avant and I'm curious what do you loose from driving an avant vs a sedan

I know there is a lot more room and you can carry stuff but what about weight?

Any differences with cornering, suspension or ?

Just curious, I'm looking at possibly buying a stage 3 avant but not sure I want to spend the doe. I have also looked at buying a 02 bmw m3 coupe or even an RS4 but those are a little too pricey and besides I would like to keep my diesel truck.

So my 2nd car would either be a S4 avant stage 3 $mid-high 20s, bmw m3 coupe $low 20s

I much prefer the Avant. It's privately much cooler, a lot more practical, and... well... I dig it. The chassis is actually a bit stiffer because of the rear structure, and the weight difference is negligible.

If you're looking at a Stage 3 car, it should already have nice suspension on it. If not, make the investment. I have Stasis/Ohlins Motorsport stuff on mine, though I might consider the Penske setup instead.

I have the 700f/800r springs and I am running about -10 sweeps front / -8 clicks rear (from 100% rebound).
