bottom of the oil pan. if you need a new one do not buy a meyle brand (hint: skip the sensor ECS sells). it wont work on these cars.

I thought that was the oil level sensor. Isn't the temp sensor a little cylindrical guy with a crush washer?

They are the same sensor - on the bottom of the oil pan and you have to get the right replacement. I got the non-OEM one and had to remove and replace to get things right. Good luck
