Default Need some help, I have had a clunking/clicking sound coming from the front driverside area for......

awhile now. I removed the driverside shock and it was blown. I replaced it with a brand new shock. The noise stopped. Probably a week later the same or similar sound started again. However this time is got progressively worse until now I can tell something is very broken. I had my mechanic take a look and he couldn't find the culprit. I took the shock off to take a look and it is fine as far as I could tell ( no leaking). I am having a new axle sent which is my next guess. The axle is flingin some oil from the inside boot but very little. The motor mounts look good as well. Any other ideas? TIA

My lower control arms made that noise when they went bad. More of a clunck than a click.

Default That's my next possibility... The sound is worse when going over bumps or rough road but

The suspension looks fine, upper control arms are fairly new. The bushing on the lower control arm does look stressed but not enough to cause this much noise. It could always be another faulty shock I guess.
