My S4 has arrived... Pirelli P6000. Any good?

Yah, it's not that the P6000s are a *bad* tire -- on say, a Miata -- but ...
... they aren't well matched to the wieght and performance of the S4. You might wonder "what were they talking about" when you get the car, but switching to a true Max Performance tire (Yoko AVS, Pilot Sport, S02PP or S03, etc) will reveal the P6000's deficiencies and show a marked improvement.

not the best, not the worse. they seem to wear fast tho :-)
Not the best in the dry. Quite good in the rain. Kinda noisy. Kinda bumpy. Don't even try them in the snow...
My personal goal is to wear them out before 10000. I think I'll replace them then anyway, even if they have a bit of tread left.
Then I'll get S-03s or perhaps P-Zero Rossi.
Although I must admit that I am intrigued by what little I've heard about the Firestone Firehawk SZ50 EP. Not available in our size tho. Almost! The fuggers make 215/45-17 and 235/45-17.

Firehawk SZ50 EP

Ask them if any other S4s in inventory have Pilots ...
Many have arrived with Pilot Sports as OE, so maybe your dealer could locate a car on the lot with Pilots and just swap 'em with yours. Simple job, since the tire need not be removed from the rim ... swap 'em both and be done.
