Default My Catalytic converters and sensors need to be replaced. It looks like people pay $2k to $4k

for this repair. I'm in San Jose Bay Area and have been quoted $3900 to replace all by a dealer. I've got 101,000 miles

How much have other paid?

What type of after market options do I have and at what cost?

Is there a performance benefit?

Thanks

Default You can get that done for WAY cheaper. Buy some used downpipes from the classifieds...

and new O2 sensors from Vast and you are set. Go with piggies downpipes for an upgrade, also from vast

Default 2nd. Time for piggie downpipes.

You have to replace them anyway, so you might as well get some performance. Go for it! (And don't pay 2 to 4K to have them done...)

Default The APR performance downpipes + catalytic converters are on sale at Achtuning for $1,269

Shipping would add a bit but there would be no tax since it's coming from out of state for you. Installation on downpipes for the B5 S4 is usually around 6 hours at most places.
Just click on the image to go to the product page.
