Learned the hard way, APR Valet Mode top speed is 46 miles per hour!
So a lot of you know that my turbos are dying and I thought I would be smart and put the car into Valet Mode to keep from generating any boost. I was at CH888's house and I pulled the ECU and we used his computer to flash new programs into the 2 available slots.
I put Valet in Slot 1 and 91 program in Slot 2. So after the programming was finished, put it back in the car, took it for a spin around the block. Damn slow, but actually not much different than my regular passive driving. I watched the boost gauge and it peaked a couple times at 1 psi. I'm thinking, my turbos will last forever.
Go back to his house and spend the afternoon playing NBA Live on his PS2. 5:00, time to go home after a hard day at the office. Things are fine driving home, sun is out, music is playing, turbos are relaxing...
Traffic starts to clear up on the highway and holy ****ing ****, the car is speed limited to 46 miles per hour. Exited right away and drove home locally refusing to use turbos.

Does the valet mode change anything besides requesting 0 boost? I've always wondered how the engine would dyno without any boost...

Slot one is a bad idea IMHO...but I could be wrong
I've always used slot one for stock mode... I think it was MarkP, or a local tuner who told me that if the battery dies and the ecu resets itself it will reset to slot one.
Now that I think about it, other then a trip to the dealer, I guess it doesn't matter much which slot it ends up in...

Haha - Use lemmiwinks to raise the speed limiter offset!
I'm not kidding - raised mine to 80 mph when I thought my turbos had it. Driving around in valet - took some logs and the car actually hits a max of 5 psi in valet mode.

We dyno'd NickS' car back in the day in Valet - quite humorous...
The Valet program has a ~45mph speed limiter and an ~4000 Rev Limiter, along with no desired boost (wastegate spring will still make 3-4psi).
