Default KO3/K16 turbos, need help

When I bought my car I was told that the turbos are Ko3/K16. I have a turbo leaking oil now and I would like to rebuild the turbos but I haven't found any info on any ko3/k16 that is useful.

Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit for these turbos or can they be rebuilt with a kit for ko3s?

Please don't tell me to just get some Ko4s I don't want to spend that much money at this time.

Thanks for any help.

Default Honestly, you're probably not going to get any other answer than that. NO-BODY rebuilds the K03s,

because they aren't worth it. If you DO find a rebuild kit, they're going to fail anyway. Your best bet is to keep driving on the leaking K03 & ***** yourself out enough to pay for K04s; for reliability's sake, if nothing else. The motor's got to come out either way, so why make it that much harder on yourself?

I'm not looking for someone to rebuild them for me. I want to do it my self with a rebuild kit that I can buy like this one http://www.gpopshop.com/kkkkits.html

Default You can't unless you have the machine to balance them. Search "Mental K03 rebuild" to see

what happens when you do a rebuild yourself. Cliff Notes - they blow very quickly.

I'm pretty certain most of the tuners even outsource their turbo rebuilds.

Check out this vid from Blouch on what goes into rebuilding a turbo.

http://www.blouchturbo.com/video/</a

Default K16 wheels don't fit in K03's, maybe they're Audspeed K04/K03's?

Regardless, unless you have damaged a housing, most turbo shops can rebuild them with new wheels if they know what they are.

Default Buehn did a bunch of them...

Real oddball setup considering the K03 hotside and the micro-AR compressor housing.
