Default Just got off the phone wiht Valentine One...
The unit in question is 8 years old (wifes unit), and it began to freak out for no particular reason. Sent it to V1, called and they let me talk to the tech servicing it. They replaced the reciever and all is well. That's what I call customer service!

drove across the US recently with V1 and a K40... its amazing how much better the V1 is

same thing happened to me and they also flashed it with newer firmware for free.

it was part of a repair I presume...and flashed to latest. Their customer service is good.

Default Beltronics has excellent service too.
And better range!!! I have used all three:V1, Bel, and Escort. I will continue to use only Bel. V1 is NOT the end all be all of detectors.

Default Bel is escort and the escort did have better range under certain circumstances
my issue is have you ever had a V1 the arrows and the counter out way the slight range issue. hands down. IMO.
