Just got ASP Stage 3
Hey guys & gal(s)... I'm a long time daily lurker of the forums, usually trying to keep up with what the mad scientists are doing with their S4's.
Anyways, I started with a GIAC chip and Vibrant exhaust, but wanted to upgrade to K04's for a little more piece of mind in reliability. My original plan was to go with a Stage 3- setup (~400chp). I couldn't justify ~$1500+ for fueling, and additionally, I couldn't imagine the car feeling that much faster than stage 3- or even stage 2.
After a few phone calls, Mark eventually talked me into doing Stage 3 and offered a "tuned down" version that spikes to 21psi to meet my needs of wanting more reliability. I had the work done over the holidays, but had to wait a few weeks to break in the new RS4 clutch.
Today was the day I finally got to push the car and I'm completely amazed. I had blurred vision through 2nd & 3rd gear, and the car effortlessly reaches 100+mph. What impresses me the most is the driveablity. The car accelerates sooo smoothly and is much more driveable than my previous Stage 2 setup, even during normal day to day driving. I'm just as excited with the new driveablitiy as I am with how fast it is!
If you're in the South Jersey/Philly area, I definately reccomend giving ASP a call.
Next stop: Intercoolers
