total b5 S4's in US market........and a steering question....................
I was reading a magazine that I don't normally look at (Sports Car International, July 2003) while killing time at a bookstore while my wife was book shopping...........
the magazine quotes 13,502 sedans and 1,527 avants made - sound right? Just curious.
Also, in the magazine, they reviewed the b6 S4 and trashed it due to Audi's "vague steering." Having never driven an M3, I don't have a feel for how much better this car "feels" from a steering response issue. Don't recall too many people trashing the S4's steering here, so I am curious to hear what other people think about Audi's steering response????

according to other reviews though, the B6S4 steering is considerably tighter than the A4
also, I'm not sure I fully understand that criticism; the M3's steering has become progressively worse, and most tests have the S4 outhandle the E46.
That said, I have no doubt that the B6 S4 steering *feel* is still more vague than the E46's.
