Default It spikes to ~19 PSI and tapers to requested curve (16-17 PSI). Above log was taken with TCD/MBC....

thus I left out the actual so as to not create confusion (requested doesn't change with or without TCD/MBC). Tonight, I'll get a MBCless/TCDless log with N75 in place. The MBC/TCD only went in for 1 night of testing, but I suggested removing to trouble shoot why the boost curves are this way.

Default I wouldn't say with 100% certainty that requested won't change due to a TCD.

MAP is an input to a number of tables in the ECU.

Default I've seen enough GIAC K03 and GIAC K04 logs with/without TCD to know better. Maybe other tuners...

do it differently. The actual boost with N75 on this AWE stage 3 car would perfectly support the idea that his requested boost doesn't change, just a quick spike and then taper to requested curve.

Default In all likelyhood I wouldn't expect a TCD to change requested boost at the level it clamps at.

But I just want to make it clear that the MAP sensor is used as an input by the ECU so affecting its signal could potentially alter the ECU's output.

Default I hear ya. Are you allowed to share what you've learned at EPL about the innerworkings of our ECUs?

I'm sure I speak for many when I say we'd love to hear anything you're willing to share.

Yep.. That's what I was getting at, but didn't point it out specifically :-)

Default I can't share everything, but when I see a thread that allows me to impart some knowledge, I do/will

I'm still learning myself.

Default Just curious, is the SEL Scaling at 100%...

Not sure if that does actually change the returned requested boost value or not.

Default

Yes it is at 100% and yes that channel will affect requested boost among other things AFAIK.
