Default How much Horsepower does my Audi S4 B5 Have?

I am very new to this site, but it has been very helpful with fixing and tuning my 2001 S4 B5. A little about my car I have a 2001 Audi S4 B5 Imola Yellow with the 5spd auto Tiptronic Trans. Some tunes piggies, full stainless SSAC cat back exhaust, K04 turbos with RS4 Piping, Mishimoto Silicone hosing upgrade, K&N drop in filter, Hitachi MAF sensor and RS4 Housing, 710N diverter valves. Thats about it for now for the upgrades. I bought the car in poor shape (currently have 203000 miles on the car) and I have her about 90% complete to the way she was new. My question is because I do not have time to go get my car dynoed, How much horsepower do I have currently with my set up? I have completed all required maintenance and I am pitting the car back together this week. And I am really curious. I am looking to get the APR tuned chip and higher flowing injectors. What should I be pushing after that? What upgrades do you recommend?

1 Meelion Horsepower!!

Anyone on here could hypothesize all they wanted about what power you're putting down, but none of it will matter until you run the 1/4 or get on a dyno.

Word of advice: Start saving for a new transmission. The tip won't last long under a complete tune of K04s.

If you have a laptop and OBD cable grab the ME7 logging software or VAG-COM and figure out how to log your car. Then find a truck scale and get your car weighed. Do a FATS pull and log the data. That data along with the weight should give you a calculated whp value that is within about 5% of what a dyno would record.

Get rid of that damn K&N filter unless you want to be buying MAF's over and over and over again. The OEM filters flow better anyway (this has been proven over and over).

DO NOT USE OILED FILTERS in front of the MAF on the S4.

Damn! Glad I saw this. I'm not a fan of K&N regardless, but just bought a 2001.5 avant and the PO had installed a K&N filter in the car. Time to yank that bastard out!

Oh, when I put them both on the flowbench and checked the pressure drop there was less through a K&N flat panel filter. Where have you seen it being proven over and over that the OEM filter flows better? The gains with a K&N filter aren't enough for me to install one, but it does flow slightly better than a stock paper filter.

A flowbench is not nearly as accurate as measuring it at the throttle body which you can log using the ME7.1 logger or your favorite logging tool.

Was the filter you flowbenched oiled? How about after it had been in service for a week or two?

I've logged both Mann filters and K&N and while not a flowbench, the results in the real world are more meaningful in my opinion. I've heard the same from at least two other tuners.
