there is a thread on az comaring a 2.8 vs a 2.7
the 2.8 made like 10-15 whp more up top but gave up 40whp in the midrange. the 2.7 was also running with less boost.with high hp cars the turbos can push more then enough up top so why give up the midrange? im going to measure my revolvers after i take them out next week n compare to the 2.7,2.8, and rs4 cams before making a final decision.there is a book written by a guy named bell (i think that was his last name)who was an engineer on a F1 team while they were running turbos. its a good read if your into turbo charged engines
