Default Yes - glass had a ripple in it - if you moved downwards, there was a magnifying effect...

Like wrinkles (no pun intended).

Just check it before you install it.

You fix the rear quarter glass yet BTW?

Best,

Ram

Default Total is 450 for quarter glass and windshield. Q-glass is $250, but other than that I don't know

what the break down is.

Default LOL! They came to do both today. Audi sent the sedan glass so I'll have to wait again.

Hopefully the windshield is good the first time. It'll be nice to see again instead of looking through a spread of diamonds when the sun is in my face.

Default I've seen some that were too thin...when I had my WS replaced, it was difficult to find someone who

knew what I (or even they) was talking about and willing to help. I did find a really good place through the local dealer where the person helping me went and inspected all the different glass they had (they had at least 5 different types/manufacturers that were all claiming to be "OEM" replacements). They found one that sounded like what I was really looking for and it was around $200 - $300 more than the others. My insurance covered it and it's been great.

Default I had a big issue with the safelite glass...

It turns out that there is a bad batch of Safelite glass windshields, where the nipple that holds the rear view mirror on is too short.

When you put the rear view mirror on, it pulls too hard on the glass and breaks it. It took safelite a couple windows to figure it out and they finally ordered me a PPG windshield.

I have no complaints about the safelite people themselves. We had no way of knowing. I just have an issue with their glass.
