Default gas smell - round 2

I opened the fuel pump service cover (the 3-screw plate behind the rear passenger in the trunk) - and found the base of the electrical connection wet with fresh fuel (puddled on each side of the connector). There are no leaks on any of the surrounding hoses/clamps.

Does anyone have any service manual pics of the area? I'm thinking I just need new gaskets - one around the connector (?) and the large one which attaches the fuel pump to the tank itself.

Default Had that same problem on my 99 A4

Gasket around the fuel pump went bad. Everytime I filled the tank would get a gas smell. Car was under warranty at the time so the dealer fixed it.

Not sure I'd want to drive with gas on electrical connectors. Be careful.

Default This is where the fuel is collecting...

you sure it's not coming from the hoses themselves?

Default Not 100%...

since I can't see the underside of the hoses... but they do seem dry to the touch.
