Default Having owned a 2nd Gen SHO, I was pretty happy to read this earlier.

I'm just curious how much the 3.5L EcoBoost with all the upgrades will cost.

Default My '01 S4 replaced my SHO

Very intriguing! I donated my '89 SHO to a local high school and crossed 200,000 miles on the way there. A great car with typical Ford foibles - bad paint, cheesy interior, poor fit and finish. The Yamaha engine pulled strong to the end and never even required valve adjustments. The SHO lost quite a few fans when the 5 speed disappeared, so they could be off to a better start than just offering one option (even if it turns out to be a good one). I used to get a magazine called SHO Registry (more like a pamphlet) but that was how we did this prior to the internet - full of how-tos, fallen SHOs and aftermarket vendors.

I still love my S4 and am approaching 120k. It was fun to reminisce about the first car I ever bought new. Maybe if I am near a Ford dealer with time to spare...
