Fastest "street legal" S4??? Bwaahaha!!!
<center><img src="http://awe-tuning.com/media/products/awe/rsk04/launch_side.jpg"></center><p>Umm... not to start a flame war or pass judgement or talk smack on a forum that doesn't include me 'cause I drive a lowly A4, but I have to laugh @ this one. You know I love & respect you guys - Mike, Todd, AWE & co. - but, please... "street legal"??? You're better than that.
Last time I checked, open downpipes, no cats, no friggin' exhaust, lexan replacing OE glass, & a missing headlight was far from "street legal"... not to mention, the car is useless as an actual passenger car.
If you fellas, or the car's owner, are gonna' brag, by all means feel free - it's a quick & fast car - & props to you all - but to proudly call it street legal is an embarrassing reach @ best.
Not only should it be *remotely* "street legal", but maybe put @ least a 2nd seat in there, too... 'cause... umm... it's a sedan... & the best part about besting others is coming away knowing that you have a usable, streetable, four door sedan... & the seats to match.
Anyway... go ahead & flame away. This is only a friendly ribbing. *shrug*

This debate about what "street legal" means has been raging at the Nurburgring...
Interesting question. My own opinion is that it is street legal if it meets the code where it is registered.

They had to convert Mark to GIAC to claim it, that car was faster then most before
someone slapped a GIAC sticker on it.
i'm sure more then that was done, but that's pretty weak, however that's marketing

I have no problem calling it the fastest street driven s4, but its a far cry from the fastest
street legal S4. I'd venture to say mike is the fastest street legal s4.. not to mention he makes more power on the dyno, and on pump gas. hes just not lightened to all hell
