I did 12.1@119.5mph in my S4. Well, the deal is not done yet. Just because it was sold on ebay doesn't mean that will be the final
sale price. The buyer has to inspect it and make sure everything was disclosed.

Mods on a car are not an investiment and do not always increase the value...
Highly modified cars have a very niche market.
The same holds true with houses. If you put $100K into your home, it is not magically worth a $100K more. In fact, there is very little that can be to a house that increase the value the amount you put it.
You start with a $40K car. It is now at least 6 years old. (Feb 2002 was the end of the B5 S4). A six yr old car without any warranty is of limited value. Add to that a highly modified car (which scares a lot of people) makes it worth less to the general public.
As I said, "In my opinion" is was overpriced. People pay over $1000 for a Beany Baby. I feel that is overpriced as well. But there is a market for almost anything.

I wish you had put you car up for sale this summer, instead of now.
I damn near wore the numbers off my calculator keys working the options. I just need to finish my project car first...not a festiva. 8-)
