AWE intercoolers....Worth it or not? (more inside)
Im currently Stage 3 w/ fueling. Has anybody noticed significant gains in power down low? I would assume with the added air flow, it would not only add HP and TQ but help make it availible at a lower RPM.
TIA
** Yes, I know there have been many posts regarding intercoolers, but id like to get a few opinions if they are worth the $1300 or not!

Depends.
If you are installing them yourself and don't want to do a lot of modifying, then AWE ICs might be better. But if I were you, I'd look for a used pair of AWEs. If you want to spend 1300, then you might as well get ERs.

I don't think the biggest advantage is HP/TQ but the fact the heat soak will degrade
your best numbers very quickly. When we did mine from stock IC on three consecutive runs I lost close to ~40hp and with the AWE IC it was only ~5hp. So on a hot day and a few pulls your performance is gone. I was able to grab a little more HP on the custom tune with new IC's but it was not a big variable (sorry don't remember exactly)

With ICs, it's not really about what your gaining, rather what your not loosing. Heatsoak FTL
The flow is a benifit. If I were in the market, I'd buy ERs.
