I'm looking to tackle this job in the future. I am aware it's tons of labor and probably not worthwhile but I found a worthy shell

Default It's been done by johnny bravo. And I'm doing it in the coming months.

Not gonna be a big deal. I'm not convinced it'll be any more work than what I just did with building the motor w/rods and the RS6 turbo hoohah.

curious: why not sell your tip and buy a 6MT? seems like youd still come out ahead

Default no, i am going to do it regardless ... just looking for info on whats involved

i dont get why people keep saying "oh just sell your car and buy a manual"

do you know how much work is involved in selling a car and buying another?

i would much rather do the labor and perform a swap.

Default too much invested in this car, and at the same time, too many cosmetic probs with this car

to be able to sell.

Default this is very inspiring. since we're not doing allroad -> s4, it's even easier

engine harness doesn't need to be changed
maf doesn't need to be changed, provided your ECU recode/retune is for the appropriate year MAF (bosch/hitachi)
driveline doesn't need to be changed

now i'm getting excited
