Default 2001 S4..... How much is too much

Ok so I posted the question a couple days back about getting out of my current car and into a S4. I've found one but now the question is how much is too much? The car in question is a one owner with low miles and with 12-18 months left on the extended warranty.

So how much is it worth, 10K, 15K, 20K????? I know its worth what ever someone is willing to pay but what's the average out there

What have others been paying their cars, I've seen pricing from 9k all the way up to 19k.

Thanks

there is a reason you see pricing 9-19+, what are the details about the car?

Default Mas info for all

Good point,

Area Audie dealer took the S in on trade.
55K, 6spd, Avant, 1 owner, locally serviced, all options, around 12 months on a transferable warranty, no mods all stock.

Also all new pads and disks at all four corners, paint, body, and interior is about 98% perfect. That's about it, I'm going to look at it once more and make my mind up???

Before I say the price I want to see what the group thinks its worth.

Default Honestly, if it is exactly what you want it is worth what you are willing to pay for it

...not meant as sarcasm. Top honors to 6 spd, Avant, 98% factor, 12 mo warranty and low mileage (some colors are a more rare and potentially worth more - Casa and Nogaro arguably the most desirable). Get your funds in order (if not already), decide the max amount you're willing to pay, knock off $2k and walk in with literal cash - see what happens. Be willing to walk away, and give sales time to call you back.

Keep in mind that low miles isn't necessarily the golden goose some make it out to be since the car is 8yrs old (and usually it is much better for a car to be driven than sit).

Default PS: find out if it is a 2001.5 or a 2001 - look at the intake manifold

...the 2001.5 intake manifold would be important to me (search the archives & you'll find comparison pics) - don't say anything to sales

I thought all "01" Avants were only 01.5's?
