11.69 @ 121 mph in my APR Stage 3 S4

JD asked me to post on his behalf since he has been banned yet again...
JD doesn't run AWE kit first and foremost. I don't know where you got that information from, but he runs a homebrew setup using GIAC K03 software. His setup is far from off the shelf and he has never claimed otherwise. He also has never made any mention of tweaked AWE stage 3 cars being off the shelf, never ever ever.
Secondly, you are flat out wrong about this APR car running off the shelf parts. It has RS4 cams, RS4 throttle body, RS4 intake manifold, RS4 fuel rail, dumps and who knows what else. These absolutely increase power. Dumps add a tremendous amount of power. RS4 cams increase airflow quite significantly. Although the other RS4 bits might not be cost effective, I'm sure they still increase airflow marginally. Bertworks says a lot of folks run dumps and it's still off the shelf, but that's hardly off the shelf and not many people even run them.
JD's point simply was that these results are not representative of an off-the-shelf APR stage 3 car. He was not bashing in any way. There's no denying the fact that this car is quick even if it's got a few extra parts to put it over the top.
JD also has been supportive of APR's stage 3 kit in the past saying how their latest revision is pretty damned sweet. Yes, it costs quite a bit. It's still a good solid kit. Nowhere in his post did he say otherwise.
Your post was so far off base that he begged me to post this. Now that he's baned yet again, you don't have to worry about dealing with him any more. Neil made sure of that.

Did you do the wrenching? When I bought it, it only ran 12.8s. It had a lot of shoddy work too.....
All the dowels were left out of the AWE flywheel that align it to the clutch. One of the thermostat bolts were left out, (noticed when I did the t-belt). The wiring harness wasn't put back in a clean manner. (scuffed up, alot of broken plastic clips, rubbing on stuff, etc.) The flat metal key that holds the linkage to the shift rod to the tranny was missing when I bought it. I called the old owner and only the old shop you worked at touched it. He also said it never seemed to shift right for him either. The linkage would slip out of alignment without the key. When it totally loosened up I had to tow it home.
It was quite crappy work.
I was an ASE master tech for 5 years been wrenching for 15. Great parts and C- wrenching on it, being that it is a hard car to work on in comparison to most. I guess you wrench different when it is your own car.
Great car nonetheless. I just hope you didn't turn the actual wrench.
BTW, nothing personal I hope, you claimed it so I was just pointing out all the stuff I had to fix within the first 6 months to get it where it is at today.
